Mallow
Mallow is a mobile appointment booking app designed in an innovative social-network format, focused on the world of nail technicians and connecting salons with their clients. The idea is to centralize all hand-beauty activities within a single app, offering innovative and essential features for these businesses.
Problem
The client needs an MVP to launch their app publicly BUT they were “scammed” by an independent developer who never delivered the work or the money
Objectives:
Our objective is to help the client start on the right track and launch their app quickly, despite their previous bad experience. They wanted to get a functional MVP and available on the stores, in order to :
- 1Build a first base of users, test their concept and generate volume.
- 2Prepare their fundraising, by presenting a credible and operational product that allows them to be taken seriously by investors.
Solutions
From the start, we structured the project in a rigorous way. Elano and his team conducted a complete technical audit to define the appropriate technologies and organize the development of the MVP. This work resulted in an ultra-complete framing document on Notion, including :
- ✓The detailed backlog with all the user stories.
- ✓The technical description of each feature
- ✓The reflection on the structure (database, architecture, etc.).

In parallel, we conducted a design audit of the provided mockups. Some optimizations were necessary to respect the standards of mobile apps and the requirements of the iOS & Android stores. We therefore touched up the UI (margins, visual consistency), integrated the compliance rules (privacy, reporting system, in-app purchases, etc.), to ensure a smooth validation on the stores.
Finally, we launched the development with a team of two developers mobilized for 30 days. Our approach balances creativity and efficiency: each decision aims to go as quickly as possible towards production, so that the entrepreneur can start acquiring their first users.
Throughout the project, the client could follow the progress in real time via our internal communication system, giving them total transparency on the work of the developers day by day. We also set up a proximity support, almost community-based, to answer all the technical questions that an entrepreneur can ask in this key phase.
Results:
30 days to develop their app, available on the stores :
- Acquire their first users and test their concept in real conditions.
- Gain credibility with investors, with a concrete app and compliant with market standards.
- Officially launch their entrepreneurial adventure, finally having a product in their hands after their initial bad experience.
